Thai greet each other as well as foreigners with a way, a prayer like gesture. Thai people way to say hello, goodbye, thankyou , to show respect and also as an apology. Handshakes are not common and woman generally don’t shake hands.
It’s a punishable offence to show any kind of disrespect, verbal or through actions, for the royal family.
Nudity is prohibited in Thailand. While visiting Temples or palaces you are expected to wear proper clothes and shoes. Beach wear, shorts, spaghetti tops or sleeveless tops are not allowed. Sandals or slippers are also forbidden in most palaces. Footwear of any kind is not allowed in Thai temples. You have to remove your shoes before entering a temple or a thai home.
Kissing in public is offensive too.
Do not touch the head of any Thai person, if you accidentally touch someone’s head offer an apology immediately.
